The Rapidslide™
industrial sliding door
system includes a quiet belt drive automatic door operator, a heavy duty
aluminum header/track, and insulated sectional metal door panels. The
door's rapid opening speed provides a full opening width in seconds.
Vehicle and pedestrian traffic do not need to wait for height clearance, as with roll-up type doors. Pedestrian traffic is provided with a 48" partial opening, while the door opens completely for vehicle traffic. The door's fast opening speed greatly reduces the chance of door panel damage, due to impacts.

The door can be actuated by wall switches, motion detectors, ceiling mounted pull chains, presence detectors or traffic loop detectors. Dual inputs are provided for a combination of switches; one set of actuation contacts for pedestrians and one set for vehicle traffic. Pedestrian actuation usually has automatic time delayed closing, but vehicle traffic can be set-up as actuate to open/actuate to close.
